Hunter Ambrose Int. is recruiting a part-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP-PA) with pediatric experience to join the organization.

This position offers a flexible schedule, working three days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., allowing for a balanced and manageable workweek while remaining fully engaged with the team.

What's the compensation for this position?

The range is $70 - $75 per hour.

About the Position

What are the hours of the position?

This position offers a flexible schedule, working three days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., allowing for a balanced and manageable workweek while remaining fully engaged with the team.

What is the caseload and territory for this role?

The Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider covers Fresno, Madera, and Merced counties, with a typical caseload of approximately 6–8 face-to-face patient visits per Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) cycle.

Will I have to take call?

The position does not include on-call responsibilities; however, candidates who are interested in joining the call rotation are welcome to do so.

What is the current pediatric census?

The pediatric census is currently 58 patients, with 1-5 admissions per month.

Whom does the position report to?

The position reports to the Medical Director, who is highly engaged in the program and patient care. The Medical Director is readily available, collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary team, the Advanced Practice Provider, and the Clinical Manager, and maintains an active role in clinical decision-making.

Is there an on-campus or in office responsibility?

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is expected to complete face-to-face patient visits in the field and attend biweekly Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings, either in person or via Zoom as needed.

Candidate Qualifications for this positon

  • Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP/FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

  • Active California licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of recent pediatric clinical experience; hospice or palliative care experience strongly preferred 

  • Experience collaborating within an interdisciplinary clinical team, including physicians and other Advanced Practice Providers

  • Ability to practice autonomously with sound clinical judgment, flexibility, and strong time-management skills

  • Experience completing face-to-face patient evaluations and supporting Medicare recertification processes preferred

  • Medicare and Medicaid enrollment preferred (or willingness to enroll)

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records; experience with Integrity and/or Epic is a plus

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to use a personal vehicle for patient visits

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds
