The Role

The Hospice Care Consultant serves as a key liaison between Hinds Lifecare and healthcare partners throughout Fresno, Madera, and Merced counties. This role focuses on building trusted relationships, educating referral sources, and expanding awareness of hospice and palliative care services across the region.

This is a field-based position with regular travel throughout the territory. Office presence is required for training, meetings, and collaboration.

Compensation Overview

The Hospice Care Consultant role offers a base salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, with eligibility for a quarterly incentive bonus.

Hinds Lifecare also provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; a Flexible Spending Account; a 401(k) plan with employer match; life and AD&D insurance; an Employee Assistance Program; and credit union membership. Employees receive 24.5 days of paid time off annually based on a full-time, 40-hour workweek, along with paid mileage reimbursement for work-related travel.

Candidate Overview

Business Development Consultant – Hospice Services

Drive market growth and strategic partnerships through relationship-based business development in skilled nursing facilities, oncology practices, and referral networks.

Candidate Skill Set: 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of B2B healthcare business development or sales consulting experience
  • Minimum 1 year hospice care coordination experience preferred
  • Proven track record meeting and exceeding KPIs in territory management
  • Established referral relationships within assigned geography strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in field-based relationship development with clinical decision-makers
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling capabilities
  • Ability to translate clinical value propositions into measurable partnership outcomes
  • Professional communication skills with C-suite executives, physicians, care coordinators, and facility administrators
  • Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable personal vehicle with current registration and insurance
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including travel between facilities and occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
