Candidate Overview & Qualifications
Education and Credentials

Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
-
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in hospice, palliative care, acute care, or a related clinical setting
-
Three to five (3–5) years of progressive supervisory or charge nurse experience, preferably within an inpatient hospice or similar environment
Leadership and Clinical Competencies
-
Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise clinical staff, including staffing coordination and workflow management
-
Strong clinical judgment with the ability to function independently and make sound decisions related to patient care and staff oversight
-
Proven experience working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team

Effective verbal and written communication skills with staff, patients, families, and referral partners
Professional and Regulatory Expectations

Knowledge of hospice and home health regulations, including federal and state requirements, licensing standards, and industry best practices
-
Demonstrated sensitivity to cultural differences and commitment to equitable, patient-centered care
-
Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive when working with staff and families in high-stress situations
-
Maintains strict confidentiality and demonstrates respect for patient privacy, belongings, and the care environment
